I cannot restore project that is backed up on Google Drive

Alien Isotope 6 months ago updated by Tarl 2 months ago 11 4 duplicates

I backed up my project to my Google Drive. I downloaded the backup, but the file format is not recognized, and I cannot open it in a file manager. I backed it up in multiple locations, so unlikely it is corruption, more a file type registration issue.

There should be an import/restore option in the main menu.

I was able to reproduce the issue on my side also so looks like a bug. I have notified developers and they will take a look and resolve the issue ASAP

Hey,

Are you having an issue with backups from other locations or only with projects that are backed up on Google Drive?

unfortunately, I only chose the drive option, but different accounts. I had backed up a local copy, but it was lost unfortunately.

I'm sorry if I made English mistakes, I'm french. I wanted to correct myself, I didn't searched on videos but on the net, and I wanted to add that I have flipaclip premium, and I did not update it since I originally exported the backup file.

thank you for helping me !

Hello,

Where have you initially backed up your projects? Was it on Google Drive?

Best,

Dusan

hi,

I initially saved them on google drive, but to test if was just a problem with the file being on drive i downloaded it to my gallery and it still didn't open. that's when it showed the "unable to find application" message (on my phone). I've tried iton both devices and neither have been able to load it.

thanks

kian

I recommend using ES file explorer for opening files with certain applications.

It's funny because the same thing happened to me, which is why I'm at the forums in the first place!

what I meant to say: I am unable to open any of my exported projects (the .fc files created when a project gets exported). My phone says I have no apps that can open the file type.

I'm using version 2.4.0 of flipaclip on Galaxy note 10. Android 9.

Hello Tarl,

Where have you backed up your projects? Was it on Google Drive or some other place?

Regards,
Dusan

i save then in Google drive.
