Lineart Size Change Bug

ThatSnazzyFangirl 1 year ago updated by Dusan Kolic 3 months ago 7 1 duplicate

I have an iPhone and have updated to the latest version. I like to have thin lineart for my animations so I would put the size to “ 1”. I’ve noticed a bug where the size for “ 1” would suddenly change to a larger size later when I use it. Sometimes then it would turn into its original size but then turn larger. I’m very bothered by this bug and would like to see if you can fix this.

im having the same problem, but for me the pen size turns smaller? its so small the paint bucket doesnt recognize it as a full line

I’ve been having this same issue happening to me, too(on iPhone 6 IOS 11.3). I worked on a project back in October of last year and this happened, and now I’m trying to work on another project and it’s happening again. I don’t know about the other brushes, but this happens with the pencil tool for me. I know I’d definitely prefer the smaller line size if that’s what it’s supposed to be at, if not, than a smaller brush would be very appreciated. If needed, I have provided a screenshot of the issue. The left line is the thinner line, the right line is the thicker line. The line on the right started after I closed out the program and worked on the project another day. They are the same tool(pencil) at the exact same size(1mm). A theory I have, but haven’t been able to test out yet, is that it may have something to do with how much storage is available on the device. The thicker line may show up when the device’s storage is low, but I’m not certain. When I figure out whether this is true or not, I will add to this comment.

Hey Yukinix,

Thank you for the screenshot.

Could you please also do a video recording of your screen that shows the issue just so we can understand it better?

Thank you very much,

Dusan

Hello Dusan,

You're welcome, and thank you very much as well for the reply to my comment!

I absolutely can! So far, I have not been able to recreate the issue and record it, but I'll be on it when it does occur and send the video.

Hello Again Dusan,

After some testing, I believe I have figured out what the issue is. I have attached my video link to this comment, but I’ll explain here as well. When I close out and open FlipaClip in my device’s vertical mode, that’s when the lines become larger. When I close out the app and open it in my device’s horizontal mode, then that’s when I can use the smaller lines. I do hope this helps, and thank you very much for reviewing this!
